PHS Baseball Gets Clipped by Paradise Valley

They had been rolling over their opponents for more than a week. It appeared that would continue at the Greenway Festival in Phoenix Tuesday. The Prescott baseball team took a 5–0 lead over Paradise Valley after two innings of play. But the Trojans chipped away at that advantage with three runs in the bottom of the third. Paradise Valley closed the gap in the bottom of the sixth with two more runs. Then in the seventh, the Trojans walked it off, handing the Badgers a 6–5 loss.

Travis Gates went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Matt Hepperle tripled, drove in two runs, and scored two runs. William Horn had an RBI. Nick Martin scored two runs, and Brody Hanna scored one run.

That puts Prescott’s record at 7–4 overall on the season. They have two games today at the Greenway Festival. The Badgers face Bishop Kelly from Idaho, followed by Thunderbird.
