If you or someone you know lives alone in Prescott Valley and could use a regular check-in, the Prescott Valley Police Department has a free program that may help.
The Y.A.N.A. program — You Are Not Alone — connects residents with trained police volunteers who make weekly phone calls to check on their well-being. Volunteers are also watching for signs of abuse, neglect, or lack of resources, and can refer participants to county support services if needed. If a participant doesn’t answer after three attempts, a welfare check is requested.
To sign up, call 928-772-5177 or search for the Y.A.N.A. program on the Prescott Valley Police Department website.
