Local scoreboard from yesterday, in baseball, Bradshaw Mountain fell to Coconino 11-6. Nitesh Patel had two RBIs. Chino Valley edged out Parker 2-1. Luke Olson was the winning pitcher with nine strikeouts.
Softball, Prescott got topped by Flagstaff 9-4. Kaylin Pinarelli drove in two runs. Bradshaw Mountain lost to Coconino 8-1. Sarah Sullivan got the Lady Bears’ lone RBI. Chino Valley fell to Parker 15-5. Maleah Garcia had two RBIs.
The Prescott boys volleyball team swept Bradshaw Mountain 3-0. Eli Buettner had seven kills and four ace serves for the Badgers, and Marcos Cantabrana recorded seven assists and five digs for the Bears.
Tennis, for the boys, Prescott clipped Flagstaff 5-4. Bradshaw Mountain came up short to Mingus 5-4. Girls, Prescott lost to Flagstaff 6-3.
Track and field, at the Leopard Meet, Embry-Riddle’s Mia Kemp won the women’s steeplechase and qualified for the national meet.
