Strong Recruiting Class for YC Women’s Basketball

A slew of new players will be on the roster for the Yavapai College women’s basketball team for the 2026-2027 season. One of them is Mallory Murphy from Wickenburg. She was the 2A West Region Player of the Year, averaging 21.1 points per game this season with 130 rebounds and 81 steals.

The Lady Riders also picked up Khloe Glover from Centralia College. She averaged 15 points per game for the Trailblazers last season with 126 rebounds and 65 assists.

Coming from Page High School is Tayla Franklin. She helped the Dust Devils win two state championships and was the 3A North Region Offensive Player of the Year, averaging just over 14 points per game.

Also joining Yavapai is Reece Edwards from Lee Williams High School. An All-Grand Canyon Region First Team selection, she averaged 14.4 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game.
