What a year it was for our local track and field athletes, and these young men and women had exceptional seasons that earned them spots on the KYCA All-Area Team for 2026.
Prescott produced two state champions, Eli Allen for the boys and Libby Hlavacek for the girls. Other Badgers who did very well were Rutger Funk for the boys and Aubrey Kitahata for the girls.
Bradshaw Mountain’s top performers were Kaden Espinosa, Andrew Van Dell, and Sebastian Witokowski for the boys, and Sarah Dorsey, Sara Harmon, and Victoria Holliday for the girls.
Chino Valley’s most consistent performers were Matt Sibole — a state champ — and Travis Minkus for the boys, and Eliana Metz, Zoi Nagel, Triniti Gray, Summer Smith, Alyse Corbitt, and Addison Afman for the girls.
For Embry-Riddle, Dillon Eisner and Ben Smith for the men’s squad, and Mia Kemp and Sophia Noriega of the women’s squad, were national qualifiers.
