PNF Weed Pulling

Next Thursday (18th), the Prescott National Forest service is holding a volunteer weed pulling event from 9 am to 11 am. The event will focus on preventing the spread of the invasive spotted knapweed from the aspen creek trailhead in the Bradshaw Ranger District. Forest service officials say hand pulling is necessary in the area because other suppression methods are not feasible at the event’s location.  They add the event provides an opportunity for hands on education while helping improve forest health.

Volunteers are asked to bring water, snacks, gloves, closed toe shoes, long pants, and sun protection.
